With a background in office management, Rita originally came to help out “temporarily”, but has been here for nearly 30 years. She enjoys reconnecting with the many generations of loyal patients, and also getting to know the new ones. She is very involved in her community and church and has served on various committees and boards and is especially passionate about her volunteer work. One of her favorite experiences was time she spent in Thailand for 18 months where she served a welfare mission. A particular highlight was her volunteer work there at a refugee camp where she loved teaching English and preparing the people for their arrival to their new country. Music, children, and paddle boarding are just some of her interests.
